The DZOFilm VESPID 2 is a full-frame cine prime available in ARRI PL mount, priced at $1,199. It covers VV sensors and opens to a fast T1.9, making it a budget-conscious option for narrative and commercial work where shallow depth of field and low-light performance matter. The lens features aspherical elements to reduce aberrations, 0.8 MOD gears, and a generous 300-degree focus rotation for precise pulling. It also includes Cooke /i Technology metadata support, which simplifies on-set lens data capture for VFX and post workflows.

DZOFilm has kept the VESPID 2 compact and lightweight, with an 80mm front diameter and unified gearing across the series for quick lens swaps. The series is color matched, and the updated housing sports a less reflective, more tactile surface compared to the first generation. Minimal breathing and distortion are claimed, which are critical for narrative work.
