FUJIFILM GFX100S II Review

After one week of taking the FUJIFILM GFX100S out for a walk around the block, the images it produces in even average situations are stunning. I need a camera that can function in a wide range of circumstances and shoot solid video as well.

The FUJIFILM GFX100S II is a new mirrorless medium format camera that offers a 102MP sensor, improved EVF, AI-driven autofocus, and better IBIS, all in a compact and lightweight form factor.

This article does not review the FUJIFILM GFX100S II but rather discusses a different product, the Fujifilm GFX100RF, and introduces it as bringing a fixed lens to the GFX system.

FUJIFILM is making improvements and additions to both its medium-format GFX line and APS-C-format X System with the launch of the GFX 100S II.

Unless you need the better video capabilities or the fastest possible burst rates, the GFX 100S II gives the same image quality, and stability, and still shoots quickly enough for most people. It’s also lighter and more compact with a form factor that I prefer when traveling around.

Fujifilm just announced its latest medium format camera, the GFX100RF. This one differs from the company’s other GFX models in two key ways: it’s the lightest body in the GFX series so far, and it’s the first to feature a fixed-lens design.

Fujifilm's GFX100S II is a big improvement over the original and offers the same picture quality as the GFX100 II for $2,500 less.
