Our editorial take on the GoPro HERO10 Black

The GoPro HERO10 Black represents a meaningful upgrade over its predecessor, driven entirely by the new GP2 processor. Reviewers agree that this chip delivers on its promise: higher frame rates (5.3K at 60p and 4K at 120p), improved image quality, and a noticeably faster, more responsive touchscreen. The combination of HyperSmooth 4.0 stabilization across all resolutions and in-camera horizon leveling makes the HERO10 easier to work with in the field, whether you're shooting action sports or travel content.

Setup is straightforward, and the camera's improved performance is evident from the first use. The ability to shoot 2.7K at 240fps opens up serious slow-motion possibilities, while the 23MP sensor handles both stills and video with consistent quality. At 153 grams and waterproof to 33 feet without a housing, it remains compact and rugged enough for demanding environments. The GP2 processor transforms what could have been another incremental refresh into a camera that stands out in the action cam category, offering creators more resolution and frame rate flexibility than before.

Best for: Creators who need high frame rates and robust stabilization in a compact, waterproof package for action and adventure shooting.
