Our editorial take on the GoPro HERO10 Black
The GoPro HERO10 Black represents one of the most significant leaps forward in the company's recent history, primarily due to the introduction of its powerful GP2 processor. This new engine is not just an incremental upgrade; it fundamentally enhances the entire user experience. The processor unlocks impressive new recording capabilities, most notably 5.3K video at 60 frames per second and an incredibly useful 4K at 120 frames per second. These high frame rates provide creators with exceptional flexibility for slow-motion effects and high-resolution cropping without sacrificing quality.
Beyond the headline specifications, the GP2 processor delivers crucial quality-of-life improvements that address long-standing user complaints. The touchscreen interface is finally fast and responsive, making settings changes in the field far less frustrating. The camera's class-leading HyperSmooth 4.0 stabilization is now available in more modes, ensuring silky-smooth footage even during intense action. Combined with better overall image quality and effective in-camera horizon leveling, the HERO10 Black makes it easier than ever to capture professional-grade content straight from the device, solidifying its position as a top-tier tool for both enthusiasts and professionals.
