The M-Audio Fast Track C400 and Pro Tools MP bundle hails from a completely different era of home recording. When it was released over a decade ago, it represented a compelling package for aspiring producers, bundling a capable USB interface with a starter version of the industry-standard DAW. The hardware itself was notable for its time, featuring a user-friendly top-down layout and even some onboard DSP effects for low-latency monitoring, a feature then reserved for more expensive gear. It stood as a solid gateway into music production on the Pro Tools platform.

Today, however, this bundle is little more than a historical artifact. The primary and insurmountable issue is obsolescence.
