Our editorial take on the FUJIFILM X100VI
The Fujifilm X100VI builds upon a well-regarded series, notably integrating 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) for the first time. Its fixed 23mm f/2 lens, equivalent to 35mm in full-frame terms, offers a classic street photography focal length. The camera pairs a 40.2MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor with an X-Processor 5, aiming for high resolution and improved performance.
Video capabilities include internal 6.2K recording at 30p in 10-bit color, which represents a significant upgrade. The camera also features enhanced autofocus and a tilting 3-inch touchscreen LCD. Weighing approximately 1.1 lbs with battery and recording media, it maintains a compact form factor for its class.
This model targets users looking for a portable camera with advanced imaging and video capabilities, particularly those who value a fixed prime lens setup and the benefits of in-body image stabilization in a traditional design.

If you’ve been hunting for an X100VI, now might be your moment. B&H Photo currently has the silver version available for $1,599.
The X100VI is the sixth generation of this camera, and it blends retro aesthetics and high-performance imaging. The new model features the same 40MP X-Trans CMOS sensor that is found in the X-H2, along with 6.2K video recording, improved AF, a new Film Simulation mode, and, for the first first time in an X100 body, in-body image stabilization.
Fujifilm has just announced the newest iteration of its popular X100 line. The Fujifilm X100VI has a lot to live up to.
To follow up on a trend discussed last year, we start out with a nod to point-and-shoots, a craze that, according to Kevin, has “become fever pitch.” To expand on this theme, we look back in time to when digital point-and-shoots were losing ground to the ubiquitous camera phone, leading to Mike’s theory that the current digicam trend is “real nostalgia for mid-aughts frivolity.”
The Fujifilm X100VI represents a delightful culmination of form and function. While not without its quirks, it's a camera that fosters joy and a genuine connection to the photographic experience, making its minor imperfections negligible in the face of its considerable charm.
Fujifilm’s X100VI mirrorless camera improves upon the massively popular X100V with a more detailed 40MP sensor and in-body image stabilization while preserving the company’s signature JPEG color tones, manual control dials, and classy styling.
Fujifilm's X100 VI is a near-perfect update to the X100 V, keeping everything buyers liked while adding extra resolution and stabilization. The only downsides are mediocre battery life and autofocus.
It offers an identical shooting experience to its predecessor, but with a new sensor and processor.
