In-body stabilization offers an impressive 8 stops of compensation, and the 273-point hybrid AF system with subject detection for nine types should handle most shooting scenarios confidently.

Stills performance is respectable, with 14 fps continuous shooting (30 fps in high-speed mode), a dual mechanical and electronic shutter setup, and ISO expandable to 204800 equivalent. The addition of pixel shift shooting, film grain simulation, and a dedicated black-and-white selector nod to creative users. The vari-angle touchscreen and dual card slots (SD and microSD) round out a feature set that leans heavily toward video creators who can work without an optical or electronic viewfinder.
