ARRI AMIRA Live Review

The ARRI AMIRA Live is a cinema camera built around ARRI's proven 35mm ALEV III CMOS Super35 sensor, the same imaging engine found across the company's high-end cinema line. It records internally to dual CFast 2.0 cards in ProRes 4444 XQ, ProRes 4444, and ProRes 422 HQ, with Log C support for wide dynamic range capture. The camera handles UHD 4K up to 60 fps and can push HD frame rates to 200 fps, making it versatile for both narrative and high-speed work.

The AMIRA Live sits in ARRI's broadcast and live-production tier, designed for multi-camera workflows and environments where reliability and color science matter more than raw modularity. It ships with the MVF-1 viewfinder and offers PL mount with LDS compatibility out of the box, plus options for B4 and EF mounts. Wi-Fi connectivity is onboard for remote control and monitoring. This camera is aimed squarely at production houses, broadcast studios, and live event teams that need ARRI's color science and build quality in a less modular, more operator-friendly package than the ALEXA line.
